Prohibited and Unsupported Products

The following types of products may not be sold on TikTok Shop. Prohibited products are products whose sale is banned by Thai law. Please click here to see the list of prohibited products.
Unsupported products are products that cannot be sold on our platform. Although you may have the necessary qualifications to sell these products in Thailand, we do not support their sales on our platform. Please click here to see the list of unsupported products.

Prohibited Products

Illegal Products (Prohibited)

  • This category includes products that may not be compliant with local laws, regulations, product qualifications, certifications, technical standards, or standard requirements, or determined unsafe by the relevant local authorities
  • Products that may not be lawfully imported into the country where the buyer is located, counterfeit or fraudulent in nature, or infringe upon intellectual property rights.

Firearms, Ammunition, and Weapons (Prohibited)

    • Replica, antique, and other firearms such as tear gas guns, cap guns, spear guns
    • Toy guns which closely resemble real weapons (e.g., similar neutral or camo colors like black, brown, green, grey; realistic textures or materials; realistic designs; or any projectile other than foam or suction darts)
      • Exceptions: Toy guns with realistic designs and colors that meet all the conditions below are allowed to to be sold:
        • Have valid Thai labels and TIS licenses uploaded in product certification.
        • Not advertised or claimed to be real guns or prohibited/unsupported items (BB guns, paintball guns, gel blasters).
    • Deactivated firearms and weapons designed to fire blanks (such as starting pistols and blank guns)
    • BB guns, paintball guns, air guns and airsoft guns
    • All associated parts, kits, ammunition, components, and accessories for firearms. This includes: inside accessories, including but not limited to: bullets, magazines, barrels, weapon conversion kits, and firing pins
    • External accessories, including but not limited to silencers, gunstocks, bolt, fire control groups, and trigger groups
  • Weapons
    • Military weaponry, explosives, and grenades
    • Stun guns and tasers
    • Batons and telescopic truncheons
    • Tear gas, pepper spray, and mace
    • Brass knuckles, knuckledusters, dan claws and foot claws and any other related weapons
  • Other items that are designed to cause harm to individuals or may have the potential to be modified as weapons

Adult Products and Services (Prohibited)

Discriminatory or Offensive Products (Prohibited)

  • Products that promote discrimination against people based on their personal characteristics such as race, ethnicity, skin color, citizenship, religion, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, family status, marital status, disability, or medical or genetic condition
  • Products related to terrorism or terrorist organizations
  • Products that promote or encourage any form of hate, crime, prejudice, rebellion or violence
  • Products that promote or glorify suicide or people who have been found guilty of violent or sexual crimes
  • Products that discriminate against or attack political figures, political parties or political campaigns
  • Products related to human tragedies and natural disasters
  • Products containing racially derogatory language, violent or offensive material
  • Products that contain abuse or harassment towards individuals, including but not limited to violent threats, sexual harassment, or disparaging statements regarding appearance, intellect, personality traits, and hygiene
  • Books, audio, videos, documents, and materials promoting religious or racial discrimination, or which are prohibited by laws and regulations from being published or sold
  • Any product that defames, insults, threatens, or expresses or incites hatred, scorn or violence towards the monarchy, political or royal symbols of Thailand

Illegal Drugs and Drug Paraphernalia (Prohibited)

  • This category includes illegal drugs, controlled substances, and any related products.
  • Drug paraphernalia, including products primarily intended or designed for making, preparing, or using a "controlled substance". This includes but is not limited to bongs, glass pipes, or vaporisers and accessories designed for smoking or drug use.
  • Narcotics and psychoactive substances including but not limited to opium, morphine, cannabinoids, hemp, and other plants that may have opioid properties and stimulant-like effects. Kratom, mitragyna speciosa, meperidine hydrochloride (Dolantin), methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin, ecstasy, ketamine, caffeine, triazolam, flunitrazepam, ergot, ethylenediamine, hypnotic drugs, buprenorphine, diazepam, ether, smelling salts
  • Illicit substances and drugs (sex-related or otherwise)
  • Products that are used to plant or grow illegal drugs. This includes but is not limited to soil, fertilizer and grow light systems
  • Books or other material with instructions for the production and procurement of drugs

Illegal Activities and Gambling Products (Prohibited)

Coins, Cash, Gift cards and Financial Products (Prohibited)

  • This category includes all coins or paper money, cash equivalent instruments and other stored value instruments.
  • Any coins or paper money (whether collectible or circulating) in foreign currency
  • Stocks and securities
  • Financial digital assets, including cryptocurrencies and digital tokens. This includes but is not limited to Bitcoin and Litecoin

Medicines and Medical Devices (Prohibited)

  • This category contains drugs, relevant accessories, relevant products and medical devices.
  • Any drug, vitamin, herbal product, or any other product that requires a prescription
  • Any product that must be provided or sold by a doctor or other healthcare provider
  • Any Non-household medicines. This includes but is not limited to ear drops, vaginal cream, hormone replacement creams, gels and sprays
  • Any orthodontic products. This includes but is not limited to braces, fake braces, retainers and other related tools and accessories
    • Fashion braces, also called “fake braces” or “non-prescription braces”, are braces that are not operative.
  • Unlicensed medicines or herbal/homoeopathic products that make medicinal or health claims regarding cannabidiol (CBD), other cannabinoids, or hemp.
  • Medicines that are claimed to be able to cure diseases.
  • Any veterinarian medicines
  • Unsafe supplements and dietary supplements including, but not limited to, anabolic steroids, comfrey, dehydroepiandrosterone, or ephedra, human growth hormones, sexual enhancement or performance supplements
  • Medical devices and accessories. This includes but is not limited to any instrument, apparatus, appliance, software, material or other related articles that can solely be sold to hospitals or medical and public health practitioners. This also includes any medical device intended by its manufacturer to be used, alone, or in combination with other products for diagnostic and/or therapeutic purposes or that requires a prescription, application, fitting or sale by a doctor, optician or other healthcare provider
  • Nose lifters/shaping tools
  • Any other similar products that are prohibited from being sold under applicable laws and regulations

Alcohol, Tobacco, E-cigarettes and Related Products (Prohibited)

  • This category includes liquids containing alcohol, E-cigarettes and other smokeless tobacco products, all substances associated with these products, and any smoking apparatus.
  • Alcohol and alcoholic beverages
  • E-cigarettes or other smokeless tobacco products
  • Tobacco or any product that contains tobacco - including but not limited to cigarettes, cigars and dipping tobacco, chewing tobacco, tobacco pipes, vaporizer devices, or similar devices and their refill cartridges or liquids
  • Shisha, barak or hookah products and all substances associated with these products

Unsafe Food Products (Prohibited)

  • This category includes food products that meet the criteria in the examples.
  • Food additives, food processing enhancers, micronutrients, functional foods, food with high biohazards, foods preserved by radiation and genetically modified foods not yet permitted by competent state agencies.
  • Any food product that has medicinal claims, interferes with the normal operation of the body's physiological functions (whether permanently or temporarily), terminate, reduce, postpone, increase or accelerate the operation of physiological functions (for example, pharmaceutical drugs, misbranded dietary supplements)
  • Any food product intended for use in the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease in humans or animals
  • Noxious food items that contain prohibited substances or substances above legally permitted proportions
  • Any other unsafe food such as adulterated food items, non-pasteurized dairy products, wild mushrooms, food items or ingredients that are hazardous to human health
  • Any food item that is prohibited by local laws or regulations
  • Any food product that is unpacked and repacked without a label compliant with local laws

Unlabelled and Repacked Consumer Goods (Prohibited)

  • This category includes products without labels that identify what they are, and consumer goods (such as medicines, supplements, food/beverages, and beauty/personal care products) that have been repacked by the seller.
  • Consumer products that have no labels of any kind in the packaging to determine what the product being sold is (example: a pouch of white powder with no labelling)

TikTok Shop reserves the right to judge whether or not a listing is appropriate. If we determine that a product is prohibited, potentially illegal, or inappropriate, we may remove it from our platform.

    • Any device intended for creating or removing permanent tattoos. This includes but is not limited to tattoo machines, tattoo removal machines, permanent tattoo ink, tattoo removal cream and microblading needles/tools
    • HIV testing kits, paternity testing kits, fetal testing kits, and similar services
    • Non-home-used medical devices

    • Flammable solid. This included but not limited to firestarter, matches and coals
    • Flammable liquid. This included but not limited to thinner, isopropyl alcohol, ethanol alcohol, kerosene and turpentine
    • Gas cylinders and canned gas
    • Lighters that contain oil or gas. This includes but is not limited to butane lighters, blue flame lighters, refillable gas utility lighters and refilled gas or oil

  • Paintball guns, nunchucks, slingshots, archery equipment, hunting equipment and related accessories
  • Hidden/disguised knives
  • Tutorials or books with instructions for making firearms, ammunition, weapons and hazardous products
  • Real estate, houses and lots
  • Businesses and franchises
  • Gift cards, coupons, gift certificates or other similar items
  • Cars
  • Artefacts and antiquities
  • Chainsaws that have an engine power of more than 1 horsepower and a bar length of more than 11.5 inches
  • Second-hand/used/refurbished products. This includes defective products, fine jewelry, watch straps, and other second-hand items excluded in the list below.
    • The following are exceptions considered Restricted Products that Require Category Qualification and are allowed to be sold in second-hand, used, or refurbished condition: Womenswear and Menswear (excluding underwear and intimates), Footwear, Laptops, Mobile Phones, and Tablets, Bags, Luggage, Fashion Accessories, Trading Cards.
  • Weight management products and products which claim to help with weight management, whether in the form of pills, powder, powdered drinks, gummies, jellies or otherwise.
  • Non-citizen band walkie talkies (black color) and radio communication stations
  • Large stainless steel water coolers with more than 2 taps

What happens if I breach these guidelines?

If you are found to violate these guidelines, you may have enforcement actions taken against your account. You should note that repeated offenses will result in more significant penalties.
