1. Overview
1.1 Introduction
The TikTok Shop Pre-Order Guidelines have been drafted with the express purpose of:- Building a positive shopping environment on TikTok Shop;
- Providing a shopping experience that consumers can have confidence in.
- All sellers who offer products for sale via TikTok Shop must do so in accordance with these guidelines.
1.2 Scope
The TikTok Shop Pre-Order Qualification Guidelines outline the specific requirements sellers need to meet to qualify for the listing of Pre-Orders on TikTok Shop.NOTE: Currently, only invited sellers will be able to list their products as Pre-Orders. This will be made accessible to all sellers in the future.
These guidelines are updated periodically. Sellers are responsible for checking this page regularly to ensure that they comply with our current guidelines.
2. Pre-Orders
TikTok Shop defines Pre-Orders as product listings that require three or more calendar days for order preparation. Examples of such items typically include customised or handmade items, as sellers may need a longer time to hand over their products to the logistics partner.Listing products as Pre-Orders will allow sellers to extend the delivery time for their products by an additional 3 to 30 calendar days. Sellers with access to this feature will be able to specify whether each of their products are "pre-order" products. This option may be found under the "Sales Information" section when editing a product listing in the Seller Center.
TikTok Shop reserves the right (at its sole discretion) to restrict Pre-Order access to sellers or products if they fail to meet our Pre-Order Qualification requirements.
3. Pre-Order Shipping Guidelines
Our TikTok Shop Customer Order Shipping Guidelines covers shipping requirements from the time an order is placed by a customer to the time the package is dispatched to the shipping carrier. Please refer to the educational article, Understanding Auto-Cancellation, for details on the auto-cancellation guidelines that apply specifically for Pre-orders.Important Note: These guidelines are only applicable for local to local transactions. Sellers are responsible for ensuring that the listing, sale, and provision of products on TikTok Shop comply at all times with applicable laws and regulations.These guidelines are intended to facilitate seller compliance. They are not exhaustive and not intended as legal advice. We encourage sellers to consult independent legal advisers if they have questions about the laws and regulations concerning their products.
