What is Seller New Customer Voucher?

Seller New Customer Voucher is a seller-funded promotional tool that can be claimed only by seller's new customers and redeemed during check out. The tool allows sellers to offer discounts with or without minimum spend threshold targeted at seller's new customer segment in order to expand customer base and sales. image.pngSeller New Customer Vouchers can be claimed by buyers across the following pages:image.pngDo note that Seller New Customer Vouchers can be used in combination with Product Discounts, Flash Deal, and other seller discounts, as well as platform subsidies.Additionally, multiple Seller Vouchers (Regular Voucher, LIVE Interactive Voucher, and Seller New Customer Voucher) can not be stacked. Create Seller Vouchers

To create a voucher on the Seller Center on PC, visit the Promotional Tools tab.
Select Create under "Voucher" and click the Seller New Customer Voucher option.

Definition of New Store Buyer:
  • A customer that has never placed an order from the store. Returning an order would be regarded as placing an order as well.
  • A customer does not have a valid new customer voucher
Note: You can set only one new customer voucher promotion for the same time period.

Voucher Setting
  • Discount type: You can set up Amount off or Percentage off vouchers.
    • Amount off: Reduce the price by setting a fixed amount
    • Percentage off: Reduce the price by setting a percentage
  • Minimum spend: The minimum spend required for buyers to enjoy the discount
  • Maximum discount per order: For percentage off discount type, you can choose to set a maximum discount per order (The maximum discount per order must be greater than or equal to the Discount percentage x Minimum spend)
    • For example: If the discount is 50% and the minimum spend is 10, the maximum discount per order must be greater than or equal to 5.
  • Claimable Quantity: Indicate the claimable quantity for your voucher to be claimed by buyers. Once the voucher is fully claimed, the voucher will no longer be displayed to buyers (Note: The claimable quantity is not the actual usage quantity of the voucher as buyers who claimed the voucher may not successfully complete the check out with the voucher).

The voucher can be applied to either the entire shop or specific products only.
  • Click Specific products to select products. Here, you can filter by product category, product name and product ID.

After all the settings are completed, click Agree & Publish to create the voucher.

  1. Set up a low to no minimum threshold for new customer vouchers to improve the conversion of first orders and expand customer base.
  2. Offer different seller voucher types to grow your business.
    1. Setting a longer duration for new customer vouchers to always have an attractive offer for new customers who have never purchased from your store.
    2. Offer regular or live interactive vouchers with different discounts and minimum thresholds to drive higher average order value, campaign sales or livestream sales. Seller vouchers are not stackable; the system will choose the most optimal voucher to be applied and you don't have to worry about over-subsidizing the order with seller vouchers.

Manage Seller Vouchers

To manage a voucher on the Seller Center, visit the Promotional Tools tab.
Enter Manage your promotions to view the details of ongoing, upcoming and deactivated promotions.
To easily navigate between all voucher promotions, filter "All promotional tools" and select "New Customer Voucher"

Note:
  • For ongoing promotions, only the total number of vouchers can be increased. The other voucher settings cannot be changed.
  • After deactivating vouchers, customers that have already claimed the voucher will still be able to use the voucher until the validity period expires.
To manage a voucher on the Seller Center App, select one of the promotions to view Voucher details.
Select Deactivate to end a Voucher promotion.
❗ You can only view and deactivate a Seller Voucher on the Seller Center App, you may need to visit Seller Center PC instead for other configurations

FAQ

  1. Can the new customer voucher be used for non-first orders?
Yes, when customers claim the new customer voucher, they can decide to use it in the first order or non-first orders, as long as the voucher is within the validity period.
  1. If customers return the order that they used the new customer voucher, can they use the new customer voucher again?
Yes, the new customer voucher will be returned to the customers' voucher hub, and the customer can use it again on their next purchase within the validity period.
  1. If the customer claimed the new customer voucher, but it has expired, can they claim the voucher again?
  • If the customer claimed the new customer voucher and it expired before usage, the customer will no longer be able to use that specific new customer voucher.
  • In the future, if the seller creates another new customer voucher, the customer will be able to claim the voucher again if they are still a new buyer to the store.
  1. If customers have used a new customer voucher funded by TikTok Shop, can they continue to use a new customer voucher funded by sellers?
It depends whether the new customer voucher funded by the platform was used in the specific store. If not, the customer can still use the new customer voucher funded by the seller.
  1. Can the new customer voucher be used with other seller vouchers in the same order?
No, seller vouchers can not be stacked and customers will only be able to use one seller voucher per order. The system will auto-apply the optimal discount amount of seller voucher for customers upon check-out.
