What are Violation Points?

Violation Points are points issued to creators who breach our policies and guidelines. The number of Violation Points issued corresponds with the severity and impact of the infringement. Violation Points will reset every 90 calendar days from the date of issue.

How can I Avoid Violations?

Know our Content Policy

Review the TikTok Shop Content Policy and make sure your videos don't include any prohibited actions.

Review the Policy Risk Reminder before posting

• When you bind certain types of products to your content, a short reminder may appear to flag some common policy risks for the product type.
• You don't need to take any extra action — it's simply a quick checkpoint to help you stay compliant before your content goes live.

Run your content through the Video Pre-Check Feature

• Upload your video to the Video Pre-Check Feature before posting to get alerts on possible policy risks within minutes, plus tips to fix them.
• Find it in TikTok Studio > TikTok Shop Creator Center > TikTok Shop Toolkits > Video Pre-Check
• ⚠️ Note: This feature may not catch every violation. Always review our policies to to stay fully compliant.

Learn from Violation Snapshots

• Each violation ticket includes the reason, along with snapshots of your content and timestamps. This helps you understand exactly what went wrong and avoid repeat mistakes.

Remove violation points with Policy Quiz

• If you receive a violation, take the related Policy Quiz to show you understand the policy and how to avoid future mistakes. Score 100% and 1 violation point will be removed.
• Find it in TikTok Studio > TikTok Shop Creator Center > Account Health > Take a Quiz

How will I be notified about a violation?

If you receive a violation, you'll get a ticket that clearly explains the reason and includes snapshots with timestamps showing exactly where the issue occurred.
You can view all your violations in TikTok Studio > TikTok Shop for Creator > Account Health. You'll also receive a notification each time a new violation is issued.

What are Violation Point Milestones?

Your "Account Standing" page indicates milestones at 0, 8, 12, 15, 18, 21 and 24 Violation Points. These are our Violation Point Milestones. If your Violation Point total hits any of these milestones, your account will be subject to enforcement actions such as suspension of e-commerce access for a specific duration.

• 8 points: Suspension of e-commerce access for 24 hours
• 12 points: Suspension of e-commerce access for 48 hours
• 15 points: Suspension of e-commerce access for 72 hours
• 18 points: Suspension of e-commerce access for 1 week
• 21 points: Suspension of e-commerce access for 2 weeks
• 24 points: Permanent removal of e-commerce access

Where can I find my current Violation Points?

You can find your Violation Points on the "Account Standing" page of your TikTok account.

• Open the TikTok App and click on "TikTok Studio".
• Click on the Shopping Bag icon with "TikTok Shop for Creator".
• Scroll down and click on "Account Health" to view your Violation Points.

Can I appeal against my violations?

If you think an enforcement action has been taken against you in error, you may be able to appeal via the TikTok App. Please read our Creator Appeal Guidelines for more information.
