TikTok Shop strives to protect rights owners from copyright or trademark infringement. As such, TikTok Shop has a zero tolerance policy towards counterfeit products. The advertising and sale of counterfeit products on TikTok Shop is strictly prohibited and we require all products offered for sale on our platform to be authentic. By ensuring the safety and authenticity of products sold on our platform, we create a positive shopping experience that users can have confidence in.
What are Counterfeit Products?
Counterfeiting refers to the unauthorized use of trademark that is identical or very similar to another’s registered trademark on the same goods covered by the registration or on its packaging. The advertising and sale of counterfeit products are strictly prohibited. This includes the display of brand names, logos or trademarks in product images or product descriptions without authorization from the brand owner.

Fakes, unauthorized copies or unauthorized replica items
Products that include brand names, logos or trademarks without authorization from the brand owner
Products that are commonly counterfeited include:
Jewelry from luxury brands, such as necklaces, bracelets and cufflinks
Branded clothing items
Designer bags and leather goods, such as handbags and wallets
Branded footwear
Luxury phone cases, earphone cases and keychains
Prohibited Behavior
When advertising, creators and sellers should avoid:
Displaying any unauthorized brand names, trademarks or logos in any forms of content, including the product details page, videos and livestreams.
Intentionally blurring or hiding any brand names or logos.
Behaviors and/or written or verbal messages that imply the sale of counterfeit products.
Your Responsibilities as a Seller
It is the seller's responsibility to source, sell and fulfil only authentic products. The sale of illegal and counterfeit products is strictly prohibited. Sellers should only sell products with prior authorization from the brand owner. It is good practice to maintain relevant and credible documentation that certifies the authenticity of the advertised products. In the event of a suspected counterfeit, these documents will be requested to facilitate TikTok Shop's investigations.It is the seller's responsibility to ensure that all products sold on TikTok Shop comply at all times with the applicable laws and regulations of the destination market. Sellers are strongly encouraged to review TikTok Shop's anti-counterfeit policy and the destination market's laws and regulations on a regular basis.
Your Responsibilities as a Creator
As a creator, you must not create, post, upload, stream or share:
Any content related to goods that are not compliant with the laws of the destination market, such as counterfeit products
Any content related to goods that is misleading, incomplete or discriminatory to the consumer
It is the creator's responsibility to ensure that all content posted on TikTok Shop complies at all times with the applicable laws and regulations of the destination market. Creators are strongly encouraged to review TikTok Shop's anti-counterfeit policy and the destination market's laws and regulations on a regular basis.
What Happens if I am Found Advertising or Selling Counterfeit Products?
TikTok Shop may take enforcement actions against sellers and creators who violate our policies and guidelines. The enforcement actions taken against a seller or creator depends on the severity and frequency of violations. A non-exhaustive list of potential penalties are as follows.

Cancellation or withdrawal of any promotions and/or subsidies offered to the seller
Deleting the seller's account
Commencing legal action against the seller
Reporting the seller to relevant regulatory authorities for prosecution
Removal of product lisings

Removing the creator's product link
Removal or blocking content
Formal warning messages
Suspension of creator privileges, including suspension of e-commerce benefits
Temporary or permanent withdrawal of creator benefits
Freezing of creator's commission
Revoking eligibility for exposure platform recommendation
Commencing legal action against the creator
Reporting the creator to relevant regulatory authorities for prosecution
