What is Mall Commission Fee

Mall Commission Fee is the amount that TikTok Shop charges to TikTok Shop Mall sellers in Thailand based on the category of a product. The Mall Commission Fee is different for Marketplace Sellers and Mall Sellers. This article provides details of the fee rate for each product sub-category, how to calculate the fee of your order, and other FAQs for Mall sellers.

How to calculate Mall Commission Fee by product category?

Formula

This commission fee is calculated from the item price, minus any seller discounts. Shipping fee and TikTok Shop platform discounts are not included as part of the calculation of the Marketplace Commission fee.
The formula is as follows:
Commission Fee = (Item Price - Seller Discount) * Fee Rate

Calculation Example

  • Example 1:
  1. Item: Guitar.
    1. Original Price: THB 1000
    2. Seller Discount: THB 100
    3. Item Price after Seller Discount: THB 900
    4. Applicable Commission Fee Rate: 8.56% (tax inclusive)
  2. Buyer A bought 1 Guitar
  3. The Marketplace Commission Fee calculation is as follows

FAQ

  1. Who will be charged the commission fee?
  • All TikTok Shop sellers on TikTok Shop platform in Thailand.
  • The Mall commission fee is applicable only to Mall sellers; and the Marketplace commission fee is applicable only to Marketplace sellers.
  1. What is a "valid order"?
  • Valid orders are paid orders that have been successfully delivered to and accepted by the buyer. Cancelled or fully returned or refunded orders are not considered valid orders.
  1. How will I be charged the Commission Fee?
  • The Commission Fee charges will be deducted directly from the order settlement.
  1. Is the Commission Fee inclusive of tax?
  • The Commission Fee Rate in the aforementioned table is inclusive of tax.
  1. Where can sellers check the details of the commission amount?

  1. What does the refund process look like?
  • If the entire order is returned, the full commission fee will be refunded to the seller. If part of the order is refunded, the commission fee charged on the refunded item (s) will be refunded to the seller.
  1. Where is TikTok Shop platform discount in the calculation of the Commission Fee?
  • The calculation of the Commission Fee does not consider any TikTok Shop platform discount.
  1. Since this is a chargeable fee, will sellers receive an invoice describing the full Commission Fee amount TikTok Shop has charged me for the month?
  • Yes, sellers will receive an invoice the following month for the previous month's billing period. Sellers may visit Finance > Invoice Center > Platform Service Fee to download the invoice.
