Scam Prevention - Cash on Delivery (COD) Scam Orders

TikTok Shop strives to provide a shopping experience that all users can have confidence in. While we actively minimize scams and fraudulent activities on our platform, we encourage our customers to remain vigilant in ensuring that they do not fall victim to scams.TikTok Shop offers Cash on Delivery ("COD") as one of the available payment methods for purchased products on our platform (only in select markets). COD refers to the sale of goods where payment is made upon order delivery (rather than in advance on the platform).Customers expecting COD orders must be wary of potential fraudulent copycat or scam orders. Scam orders usually contain information that closely resembles or fraudulently 'copies' an order that a customer placed on TikTok Shop. The copycat order typically includes information such as recipient information, product description, COD value, etc. However, copycat orders will not contain a correct waybill that matches the TikTok Shop order and tracking number. These COD Scam orders may also be delivered even if a customer has not placed or has no orders in transit. While these orders may be easier to recognize, please follow our guide below to ensure your safety.
