Introduction to Pricing Insights

Pricing Insights is a pricing tool built directly in the Seller Center's promotion module. It helps you make smarter, more confident pricing decisions by giving you a transparent view of how discounts are applied and stacked together. This allows you to instantly see how promotions, including platform coupons, seller promotions, and campaign offers, are stacked in priority to precisely forecast the customer's final checkout price and optimize your strategy for maximum conversion and profit.
Key Functions
  1. Promotion Simulator: Explore how multiple discounts apply in real time. The simulator clarifies stacking rules and priority across discount layers, helping you understand exactly which campaign and promotions take effect and why.
  2. Price Forecast: Automatically estimates the final price your customers will see within a selected time range, based on your active and scheduled campaign and promotions. Use it to anticipate performance and protect profit margins.
  3. Stacking Rules: A simplified, easy-to-access guide explaining how different promotion types interact. Quickly reference stacking logic, price priority rules, and key definitions to ensure your pricing setup aligns with platform logic.

  • Simplify the complex: Simplified stacking rule and price priority guide to simplify platform logic and minimizing confusion and human error.

How it Works

Go to Seller Center PC > Marketing > Promotions > Pricing Insightimage

Price Forecast

A predictive tool that displays the estimated final price for each product over a selected time range based on your current campaign and promotion set up and active promotions only. It helps you understand how your current promotion configurations will be displayed to customers.
Step by step guide:
  1. Select a product, time range (default 7 days), and consumer type (e.g. new, existing, all customers).
  2. A price forecast graph timeline is generated from your actual active promotions and campaigns.
  3. Hover over any point on the timeline to view the exact price breakdown, showing:
    • The estimated final price: The final price customer see may vary due to TikTok funded promotions and other external factors.
    • Review the price breakdown to view showing all three discount layers. This illustrates the different promotion types that contribute to the final price.
      • Expand the discount layers to view the exact campaigns and promotions details that contribute to that price.

Price Breakdown: Expand to see promotion details
Note:
  • If a product is in multiple campaigns and promotions, the tool only shows the promotion that will take effect based on the price priority or highest discount in order to prevent double-counting. If you are unsure how multiple promotions will apply together, please visit the "Promotion Simulator" tab.
  • Platform funded promotions and Co-Funded Vouchers are not included in Pricing Insights, therefore the displayed final price is only an estimate.

Promotion Simulator

Promotion Simulator simlates how different promotions interact across all discount layers with an interactive tool that visualizes in real time which promotions apply, stack, or get overridden - this clarifies the price priority rule and stacking logic for sellers.

Simulator your promotion combination: The simulator breaks down discount interaction based on a three-layer hierarchy.
Discount LayerApplies ToExamplesStacking Rule
Individual product promotionIndividual productCampaign, Seller Flash Sale, Product Discount, New Arrival DiscountIf there are multiple promotions, only one price will take effect (e.g. Campaign Price overrides a Product Discount)
Cart level promotionEntire cart value Buy More Save More, Gift-with-PurchaseCart level promotions stack on top of individual product promotions.
If a cart-level promotion has a minimum spend requirement, the post-discount price (after individual product promotions are applied) will be used to determine whether the cart qualifies for the promotion
CouponsEntire cart value Regular coupons, Chat coupons, Promo codeCoupons can be stacked with both individual product promotions and cart-level promotions. Since only one coupon can be applied per order, the system will automatically apply the one that provides the optimal discount (best discount).
If a coupon has a minimum spend requirement, the post-discount price (after individual product promotions are applied) will be used to determine whether the coupon qualifies.
Applied promotion: The right-hand module shows which promotion will take effect in each discount layer and how the final price is determined conceptually
  • Priority promotion: When a product is set up with multiple promotions that cannot stack, a predefined system prioritizes which promotion type wins (e.g. Campaign price overrides Seller Flash Sale).
  • Optimal discount: When there are multiple promotions applied on a product, the promotion that offers the best discount will be applied (e.g. If a product has 30% off and a 50% off promotion at the same time, the customer will enjoy 50% off).
  • Stackable promotion: Promotions from different layers can be combined to lower the final price further (E.g. A Seller Flash Sale + BMSM + Regular Coupon can all apply in an order)

Stacking Rules

An in-product reference guide that clearly explains how different promotions interact, which ones take priority, and which can stack, helping you quickly understand the platform's price priority and stacking rule.
When sellers set up multiple seller promotions, a single product may sometimes be enrolled in overlapping promotions during the same period. The table below outlines which promotion will take effect and whether the promotions can be applied together (stackable).
