Listing Guidance for "Compatible" Products

Listing Restrictions

What are "Compatible" products?

Some of the products you wish to list may be used with other products on the market. These may include products compatible with electronics such as charging cables, laptop sleeves, as well as products compatible with fashion products such as shoe laces.
As some of the products on the market may be branded products, you must ensure that your product titles and descriptions do not give customers the impression that your product is an official product offered by the brand, as this may lead to Intellectual Property Infringement.

What can I do to reduce the risk of IP infringement when listing "Compatible" products?

When you are listing a product that has a compatible function with another brand's product, you may describe it in your product title and description by adding certain words to show that the product is "compatible", such as:
  • made for
  • compatible with
  • intended for
  • applicable for
  • fits with
It is recommended to build your product title using the format below, taking into consideration that you are not allowed to make use of the brand's logo/icon on any product images.
