Specific Requirements

Due to the delicate nature of some fruits, sellers are expected to follow these guidelines to ensure the quality of products received by buyers and avoid customer complaints.

Durian

  • [Important] Ensure delivery can be completed within three days to avoid spoilage.
  • Ensure the Net Weight listed is consistent with the actual product.
  • If mentioning grade, clearly state the specific standards for each grade.
    • e.g., "Grade A Durian: 4-5 pulp chambers, weighs between 2-5kg"
  • Avoid shipping overripe, damaged or rotten durian. Stems and shells should be intact, with no obvious holes or black spots.
  • Avoid selling whole, unpeeled durians under 1kg. Smaller fruits typically contain little flesh and may not meet quality standards, leading to poor customer experience.

Avocado

  • Avoid shipping overripe, damaged or rotten avocados. Stems and skins must be intact, with no severe bruising or browning.
  • Ensure all avocados in the same package are consistent in size and quality.

Delivery Options for Certain Fruit Categories

Some fruits are highly sensitive and require fast delivery to reach buyers in optimal condition. Ensuring proper shipping not only preserves product quality, but also drives stronger reviews, repeat purchases, and supports the long-term growth of your store.

When Order Volume Limits May Be Applied

An Order Volume Limit (OVL) restricts the total number of orders a shop can receive each day. Once the limit is reached, the shop will not be able to receive additional orders until the limit resets the following day.Order Volume Limits may be applied to a fruit seller shop in the following scenarios:
    • The shop's Negative Review Rate (NRR) exceeds 0.5%.
    • Should the shop have Associated Account(s), Order Volume Limits will also be applied to those accounts.

When You May Lose your Fruit Seller Qualification

A shop will be disqualified from fruit sales if it meets any one of the criteria listed below (assessed every 30 days):
    • The shop receives a large number of customer complaints.
    • The shop seriously violates platform policies and guidelines.
    • The shop's fruit listings exceed either of the following thresholds:
      • Negative Review Rate (NRR) is more than 0.5% OR
      • Seller-Fault Return and Refund Rate (SFRR) is more than 1.5%
    • Should the seller account have Associated Account(s), and such accounts have violated our Terms and Policies or any applicable laws.
Once a seller has lost their fruit seller qualification, they may reapply again after 90 days.

How should I handle Returns & Refunds?

Buyers may reach out to you if the fresh fruits they received are inconsistent with the product description or have quality defects. To protect buyer experience, sellers are responsible for handling eligible after-sales requests in accordance with applicable laws, platform policies, and the specific order circumstances. Here are some guidelines for negotiating partial refunds with buyers.
If you offer partial refunds and the buyer accepts, the order won't count towards your Seller-Fault Return Rate (SFRR)Click here to learn how to initiate partial refunds.

    How much should I refund?

    image
    Scenario 1: Visible Issues
Visible issues are defects or discrepancies that can be identified upon delivery. The proportion of affected products may be used to determine the refund amount
    image
Note: Refund-only requests may be automatically approved in some cases. Sellers may appeal if a violation is revoked, provided the product or shop remains active and the order is still within the appeal period.
    Scenario 2: Invisible Issues
Invisible issues are defects that are not immediately apparent upon delivery (e.g. Poor taste/unpleasant smell). Sellers and buyers should negotiate an appropriate refund amount based on valid supporting evidence.

    Buyer evidence requirements

Buyers should provide clear and valid evidence to support their refund request. Examples include:

    How should I promote fruits?

To stay compliant, ensure the fruit and any information present in your content are accurate to the actual fruit in the product listing, including its attributes, variety, weight, quantity, and origin to ensure that customers know what to expect and reduce complaints.
For best promotion practices, please refer to Avoid Inconsistent Product Promotion.

What are other ways I can manage buyer expectations?

    • Disclose natural variations: Size, weight, ripening speed.
    • Pre-warn customers about water loss during shipping, which may slightly affect the weight of their order.
    • Send ripening/opening/storage guides via buyer chat.
      • e.g. "Your order has been shipped! Please allow XX days for your durian to ripen. [Attach guide]"
    • Clearly state returns/refunds policies (must align with the platform's Returns And Refunds policy).
