What are Dangerous Goods?

A dangerous good is any product capable of posing a risk to health, safety, and property during shipping, storage, and handling. These goods can contain flammable, corrosive, pressurized, or otherwise harmful substances. As a result, dangerous goods must be handled and transported with special care and safety measures and can have additional transportation requirements (such as specific marking and labeling of packages or special handling).
Some common dangerous goods include, but are not limited to:
  • Lithium battery products (such as power banks, laptops or smartphones)
  • Corrosive or flammable liquids (such as household cleaners)
  • Aerosol products (such as insecticides, or air fresheners)
  • Oxidizing products (such as fertilizers)
You are responsible for identifying if your listed products qualify as dangerous goods, as well as shipping and labeling these products in accordance to laws and regulations.
Please note that while dangerous goods (such as the products listed above) may be sold on the platform after being declared, hazardous goods are prohibited on the platform. A list of hazardous goods can be found in our TikTok Shop Prohibited Products Policy.
