Platform Abuse
02/10/2026
What kinds of practices do we consider "Platform Abuse" on TikTok Shop?
Dropshipping
- Dropshipping, or using our shipping services or the incentives we grant you to fulfil an order for a sale that did not take place on our platform
- More generally, duplicating any sale you made outside TikTok Shop on TikTok Shop itself
- Placing an order on behalf of a customer who does not have a TikTok account and/or shipping such an order to that customer
- Asking or advising a customer or potential customer to order a product from your Livestream on the basis that such an order is entitled to free shipping
Fake Orders
- Fake orders, or orders that are not made by legitimate customers or for legitimate purposes, such as colluding with your customer or a group of customers to order large amounts of the same or similar items from your shop to boost its sales performance. These include:
- An order that is placed by the seller themselves, individual(s) connected to the seller, or by affiliates who are engaged or working together with the seller.
- An order's logistics tracking data does not match the shipping address.
- An order's tracking number is invalid or fake.
- A single or group of buyers frequently purchases large amounts of the same or similar items from a seller.
- The seller's product reviews do not make sense or do not match the product listing.
- Other unreasonable behaviors that are targeted at increasing sales performance or abuse our platform's services.
Other restricted practices
- Dishonestly and fraudulently changing an order's status in the Seller Center
- For example, updating an order's status to "To Ship - Awaiting Collection" before it has even been packed and prepared for shipment to avoid getting flagged for Late Dispatch.
- Shipping empty or incomplete packages, or products that are inconsistent with their listed description or the order details
- Knowingly providing false or inaccurate shipping information, this may include
- Invalid or duplicate tracking IDs
- False or inaccurate return shipping or warehouse addresses
- Shipping an order to an address other than your customer's stated delivery address
- Changing your customer's order or shipping information without their consent
- Shipping any product listed in our Prohibited and Unsupported Products policies, or prohibited by your Logistics Service Provider or by law
- Note: For bubble wrap/film, sellers must use the Shipped by Seller shipping method.
