Instant Late Dispatch Rate and Same-day Late Dispatch Rate

To improve the customer experience of our premium shipping options and provide sellers with clearer performance insights, we are introducing new metrics to measure your Ship By TikTok: Instant Delivery and Ship By TikTok: Same Day Delivery services speed. These new metrics, Instant Late Dispatch Rate (LDR) and Same-day Late Dispatch Rate (LDR) are independent of your Standard delivery LDR and do not impact it.

What is Instant Late Dispatch Rate (LDR) and Same-day Late Dispatch Rate (LDR)?

The Instant LDR and Same-day LDR are calculated based on the past 7 calendar days, allowing you to identify issues specific to each shipping type.
Instant LDR & Same-day LDR Formula:

• Numerator: The number of Instant or Same-day orders that were not marked as 'Awaiting Shipment - Ready for Collection' by the required fulfillment deadline.
  • NOTE: Approved fulfilment timeline extensions are factored into this calculation.
• Denominator: The total number of valid Instant or Same-day orders due for fulfilment based on order fulfilment timelines.
  • NOTE: This excludes orders that were canceled by the buyer or seller before the instant/Same-day order fulfilment deadline.

❗ You should aim for an Instant LDR & Same-day LDR of less than 5%.Sample calculation

• 100 instant/Same-day orders were placed
• 20 orders were shipped late according to instant/Same-day order fulfilment timelines
• The seller's instant/Same-day LDR is 20%.

The platform may take the following actions based on the Instant LDR and Same-day LDR performance, including but not limited to restricting service subscriptions, deducting AHR points, or applying OVL, to ensure a better shipping experience.

How do I achieve a low Instant LDR & Same-day LDR?

Monitor Your Performance in Seller Center

You can track your new Instant LDR and Same-day LDR metrics in two key places:

• Shop Health: Get a clear overview of your Instant and Same-day LDR performance.
• Order Management: Identify specific orders that contributed to your LDR. You will be able to download a list of order IDs that breached the order fulfilment timelines for detailed analysis.

Prioritize and Fulfill Orders On Time

The Order Management page will feature UI enhancements to help you easily identify and prioritize Instant and Same-day orders. Fulfilling these high-priority orders before the fulfilment deadline is the most direct way to maintain a low Instant LDR and Same-day LDR.

Configure Your Business Hours Accurately

Setting your operating hours is crucial for providing accurate delivery estimates (ETAs) to buyers.

• Action: If your shop does not operate on certain days (e.g., Sundays) or during specific hours, you must configure this in your shipping settings.
• Consequence: For sellers with consistently high Instant LDR and Same-day LDR due to unconfigured operating hours, the platform may automatically adjust your business hours to protect the buyer experience and manage delivery expectations.

What happens if I breach these guidelines?

If you are found to violate these guidelines, you may have enforcement actions taken against your account. You should note that repeated offenses will result in more significant penalties.
